Founded by internationally trained designer Jane Zhang (HKU M.Arch) and developed in collaboration with California-licensed architect Kevin Huang (Yale M.Arch), Plus Minus Design is an architecture-informed residential studio creating refined contemporary homes throughout Southern California. Drawing from experience across Hong Kong, New York, and California, the studio approaches each project with a thoughtful balance of architectural rigor, material sophistication, and understated modern living.
Rooted in minimalism, warmth, and functionality, our work is guided by a refined understanding of proportion, light, and lifestyle-driven design. We believe exceptional interiors should feel calm, effortless, and enduring.

Jane Zhang is an internationally trained designer with experience spanning architecture, interiors, and large-scale mixed-use developments across Hong Kong and California.
Before founding Plus Minus Design, she worked with leading architecture firms on complex urban developments integrating residential, hospitality, retail, and public environments. This multidisciplinary background continues to inform the studio’s approach to residential design — balancing architectural clarity with warmth, livability, and long-term value.
Today, Jane leads the studio’s luxury residential projects throughout Orange County and Los Angeles, with a focus on renovations and contemporary homes.
KEVIN HUANG
Lead Architect
MArch, Yale University
California-licensed architect with experience at Gehry Partners, Rocco Design Architects, KKAA, and Junya Ishigami + Associates, Kevin brings a global perspective on design to Los Angeles. Holding an M.Arch from Yale University and a BA in Architectural Studies from the University of Hong Kong, Kevin combines rigorous academic training with hands-on expertise in crafting thoughtful, refined spaces.
